PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake pedal reaction force device capable of realizing a mechanism which operates at the time of switching between a by-wire operation mode and a by-wire non-operation mode at low cost.SOLUTION: A brake pedal reaction force device 11 comprises: a brake pedal 13 provided rotatably with respect to a vehicle body; a leaf spring 15 in which a front hook part 15A is supported on the vehicle body and a rear hook part 15B is supported on the brake pedal 13, and which biases the brake pedal 13 in a counter-stepping direction X2; a rod 29 that is connected to the brake pedal 13 and applies a reaction force F in the counter-stepping direction X 2 to the brake pedal 13 in a by-wire non-operation mode; and a ratchet mechanism R1 for bringing the brake pedal 13 and the leaf spring 15 into a locked state and releasing the locked state by applying the reaction force F of the rod 29 to the brake pedal 13.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
