PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide vehicular backup unit that can suppress deterioration in such a manner that, after vehicle operation is started, charging voltage of a second power supply part can be rapidly increased to a required level, and after the vehicle operation is ended, the charging voltage of the second power supply part can be decreased to a proper level.SOLUTION: In a backup unit 1, a determination part determines a first target voltage value Vt1 that is a target voltage value of a second power supply part 92 when a starting switch to start a vehicle is in an OFF state, at a value lower than a second target voltage value Vt2 based on the second target voltage value Vt2 that is a target voltage value when the starting switch is in an ON state, a value that represents charging capacity of a charging circuit 3A, and limited time. A controller 5 allows the charging circuit 3A to perform charging operation in such a manner that charging voltage of the second power supply part 92 reaches the second target voltage value Vt2 when the starting switch is in the ON state, and allows a discharging circuit 3B to perform discharging operation in such a manner that the charging voltage becomes the first target voltage value Vt1 when the starting switch is in the OFF state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】車両動作開始後には第2電源部の充電電圧を必要なレベルまで迅速に上昇させることができ、車両動作終了後には第2電源部の充電電圧を適正なレベルまで低下させて劣化を抑制し得る車両用のバックアップ装置を実現する。【解決手段】バックアップ装置1において、決定部は、車両を始動させる始動スイッチがオフ状態であるときの第2電源部92の目標電圧値である第1目標電圧値Vt1を、オン状態であるときの目標電圧値である第2目標電圧値Vt2と、充電回路3Aの充電能力を示す値と、制限時間とに基づき、第2目標電圧値Vt2よりも低い値で決定する。制御部5は、上記始動スイッチがオン状態となった場合に第2電源部92の充電電圧が第2目標電圧値Vt2に達するように充電回路3Aに充電動作を行わせ、上記始動スイッチがオフ状態となった場合に第1目標電圧値Vt1とするように放電回路3Bに放電動作を行わせる。【選択図】図1
