PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an output performance recovery device of fuel cell and an output performance recovery method of fuel cell.SOLUTION: An output performance recovery device of fuel cell includes a diagnosis unit for determining whether or not it is required to recover the catalyst of a fuel cell, mounted on a vehicle as a power source for traveling, from short-term performance deterioration, a recovery unit for executing recovery processing for recovering the catalyst from short-term performance deterioration by controlling the voltage of the fuel cell, a calculation unit for calculating the parameter correlated with prediction output value of the fuel cell predicted to be outputted on a travel schedule path, based on the gradient of the travel schedule path of the vehicle and the prediction vehicle velocity of the vehicle on the travel schedule path, and a determination unit for determining whether or not the parameter exceeds a first threshold level.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
