PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tread brake device enabling space saving, and also capable of adjusting an interval between a tread and a brake shoe, with a simple structure.SOLUTION: An interval adjustment mechanism 5 of a tread brake device is configured such that when a push rod 3 advances to a braking side beyond a preset advance amount, an adjustment unit 31 returns to an initial position as moved by a predetermined amount to an evacuation side opposite to the braking side with respect to the push rod 3; while a drive nut 30 is pushed, relative rotation between itself and the push rod 3 is regulated, and while the drive nut is not pushed, it relatively rotates to the push rod 3, to thereby return to an initial position as moved by a predetermined amount to the evacuation side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
