PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an output protection circuit capable of protecting a load drive circuit from excessive voltage applied to output ends even when large current does not flow.SOLUTION: An output protection circuit comprising a voltage detection circuit 6, an interception circuit 8, and an interception control circuit 7 protects a load drive circuit 4 for driving a load 2 from excessive voltage applied to output ends of the load drive circuit. The voltage detection circuit 6 detects voltage of load connection parts 10-1, 10-2 of the load drive circuit. The interception circuit is provided on current paths 9-1, 9-2 from the output ends of the load drive circuit to the load connection parts. When the voltage detection circuit detects excessive voltage, the interception control circuit controls the interception circuit into an intercepted state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】大きな電流が流れない場合にも、出力端に印加された過大な電圧から負荷駆動回路を保護できる出力保護回路を提供する。【解決手段】出力保護回路は、電圧検出回路6と、遮断回路8と、遮断制御回路7とを備え、負荷2を駆動する負荷駆動回路4を、該負荷駆動回路の出力端に印加された過大な電圧から保護する。電圧検出回路6は、負荷駆動回路における負荷接続部10−1,10−2の電圧を検出する。また、遮断回路は、負荷駆動回路の出力端から負荷接続部への電流経路9−1,9−2に設けられる。そして、電圧検出回路で過大な電圧を検出した場合に、遮断制御回路で遮断回路を遮断状態に制御する。【選択図】図1
