PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which, as a trailing vehicle 142 passes a leading vehicle 144, glare 146 may be unevenly distributed in each field of view 152, 154 and 156.SOLUTION: A system is configured to reduce glare from a trailing vehicle 142. The system may include a plurality of rear facing light sensors respectively included in separate mirror assemblies 104a, 104b. The system may be configured to change the reflectance of an electro-optic element on the basis of ambient light detected and glare of the trailing vehicle in order to reduce glare independently in the separate mirror assemblies.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
