PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber member capable of improving on-ice performance of a rubber article when the rubber member is used for a rubber article such as a tire.SOLUTION: There is provided a rubber member having a nano-substance having a long diameter of less than 100 nm when being in a non-fibrous state or has a minor axis length of less than 100 nm and a major axis length of less than 1000 nm when being in a fibrous state, wherein a plurality minute recesses exist on the surface of the rubber member, the nano-substance is arranged on the inner surface of the minute recesses and the average coverage on the inner surface of the minute recesses is 10% or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
