PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve adhesiveness between a steel cord and a topping rubber.SOLUTION: In a cord-rubber composite 11, a plurality of steel cords 14 include a cord arrangement body 12 of which a longitudinal direction is aligned and an unvulcanized topping rubber 13 covering the cord arrangement body 12. A surface area parameter S of the steel cord 14 per unit longitudinal direction of the cord arrangement body 12 defined by the expression (1):S=D×π×E is 60 (mm) or more, and the topping rubber 13 is formed of a rubber composition 3G having a complex elastic modulus E* at the time of vulcanization of 5 MPa or more. In expression (1), the symbols are as follows. D represents an outer diameter (mm) of the steel cord; π represents a circumference ratio; and E is the number of steel cord struck per 5 cm of the width in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the steel cord of the cord-rubber composite.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
