PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of creating a predictive model for structure repair in heavy maintenance in a fleet of aircraft including a structural component.SOLUTION: A method 90 includes a qualifying step 100 for a qualification data set of fatigue-related parameters calculated from the data collected during a first group of flights of a first aircraft that experiences a replacement of a structural component in heavy maintenance. The method also includes a receiving step 106 for a qualified selection of the fatigue-related parameters, and a verifying step 110 for a verification data set of the qualified selection of the fatigue-related parameters, which is calculated from the data collected during a second group of flights of a second aircraft that experiences heavy maintenance without replacement of the structural component. The method further includes a receiving step 116 for a set of verified and qualified fatigue-related parameters, and building 120 of a predictive model for structure repair in heavy maintenance by using a training data set of the verified and qualified fatigue-related parameters, which is calculated from the data collected during additional flights of the fleet.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
