PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cowl louver which enables a louver main body to be greatly displaced in a direction that an impact is applied when the impact is applied to the cowl louver from the vehicle front upper side to the vehicle rear lower side.SOLUTION: A cowl louver 4 includes a louver main body 4a provided between an engine hood and windshield glass of a vehicle. A through hole 11 for allowing a wiper pivot 5a to pass is formed at the louver main body 4a. A recessed part 12 which is recessed toward the front side of the vehicle is formed at a portion of a periphery of the through hole 11 in the louver main body 4a which faces a vehicle front side portion of the wiper pivot 5a. When an impact is applied to the cowl louver 4 from the vehicle front upper side to the rear lower side, a vehicle front side portion in the through hole 11 of the louver main body 4a is pressed to the wiper pivot 5a. As a result, stress concentrates on a portion around the recessed part 12 and the louver main body 4a breaks in a vehicle width direction staring at the recessed part 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

    【課題】カウルルーバーに対し車両前方上側から車両後方下側に衝撃が加わったとき、その衝撃が加わる方向にルーバー本体を大きく変位させることができるカウルルーバーを提供する。【解決手段】カウルルーバー4は、車両のエンジンフードとウインドシールドガラスとの間に設けられるルーバー本体4aを備える。ルーバー本体4aにはワイパーピボット5aを通過させるための貫通孔11が形成される。ルーバー本体4aにおける貫通孔11の周りの部分のうち、ワイパーピボット5aの車両前側の部分と対向する部分には、車両の前方に向ってへこむ凹部12が形成される。カウルルーバー4に対し車両の前方上側から後方下側への衝撃が加わると、ルーバー本体4aの貫通孔11における車両前側の部分がワイパーピボット5aに押し付けられる。その結果、凹部12周りの部分に応力が集中し、その凹部12を起点としてルーバー本体4aが車両の幅方向に対し破断する。【選択図】図5
