PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position estimating system and the like that can enhance the position estimating accuracy of a mobile terminal when a user of the mobile terminal has to shift his or her position in a situation of impossibility of the mobile terminal to receive GPS signals satisfactorily.SOLUTION: A center arranged in a position remote from a mobile terminal is equipped with a receiving unit that receives first positional information by GPS positioning and second positional information by base station positioning transmitted from the mobile terminal, and a position estimation unit that, when the mobile terminal has become unable to perform GPS positioning in a position near a railway station, determines whether the user of the mobile terminal has got on a train at the station on the basis of the second positional information, and if it is determined that the user has got on a train at the station, estimates that the user has got on a train on the basis of the shifting direction of the mobile terminal calculated from the second positional information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6

    【課題】移動端末がGPS信号を良好に受信できない状況で移動端末のユーザが移動する場合における移動端末の位置推定精度を高めることが可能な位置推定システム等を提供すること。【解決手段】移動端末の遠隔に配置されるセンタは、移動端末から送信される、GPS測位による第1の位置情報、及び基地局測位による第2の位置情報を受信する受信部と、移動端末が駅の周辺においてGPS測位を行うことができなくなった場合、第2の位置情報に基づき、移動端末のユーザが駅から列車に乗車したか否かを判断すると共に、ユーザが駅から列車に乗車したと判断した場合、第2の位置情報から算出される移動端末の移動方向に基づき、ユーザの乗車列車を推定する位置推定部と、を備える。【選択図】図6
