PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a rolling bearing unit for supporting a wheel, which can stably supply large power corresponding to consumption power to electronic equipment such as a sensor installed in a rotating member such as a tire.SOLUTION: An opening part at an inner end in a shaft direction of an outer wheel 7 is closed with a cap 25 made of a nonmagnetic material. A power-supply coil 33 is arranged at an outer space 32 of the cap 25 by supporting the power supply coil 33 on an inner surface in the shaft direction of a bottom plate part 27 of the cap 25. A power receiving coil 40 is arranged in an inner space 39 of the cap 25 by supporting the power receiving coil 40 constituting a non-contact power supply device 29 together with the power supplying coil 33 at an inner end part in the shaft direction of a hub 8. Further the power supplying coil 33 and the power receiving coil 40 are approached and opposed to each other via the bottom plate 27 of the cap 25.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】タイヤ等の回転部材に設置したセンサ等の電子機器に対し、消費電力に見合う大きな電力を安定して供給する事ができる、車輪支持用転がり軸受ユニットの構造を実現する。【解決手段】外輪7の軸方向内端開口部を非磁性材製のキャップ25により塞ぐ。このキャップ25の底板部27の軸方向内側面に給電コイル33を支持する事で、この給電コイル33をキャップ25の外側空間32に配置する。又、給電コイル33と共に非接触給電装置29を構成する受電コイル40をハブ8の軸方向内端部に支持する事で、この受電コイル40をキャップ25の内側空間39に配置する。そして、給電コイル33と受電コイル40とを、キャップ25の底板部27を介して近接対向させる。【選択図】図2
