PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress occurrence of failure on an appearance.SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire comprising plural circumferential direction main grooves 30 which are formed on a tread part 2 and extend in a tire circumferential direction, and a rib 20 which is defined by the circumferential direction main groove 30 and is positioned between the circumferential direction main grooves 30, and of which a ground plane 3 projects to a tire radial direction outer side with respect to a reference contour line PL of the tread part 2. The rib 20 is provided with a lug groove 31 which intersects a maximum projection part R, which is a part ion which the ground plane 3 of the rib 20 projects to a tire radial direction outermost side with respect to the reference contour line PL, or is positioned in the vicinity of the maximum projection part R. The lug groove 31 has a spew 40 of which both ends are connected to a pair of groove walls 35 of the lug groove 31. The spew 40 is so located that a center of the spew 40 in a lengthwise direction is positioned within a range in which a distance from the maximum projection part R in a tire width direction on the ground plane 3 is 10 mm or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
