PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the contamination of a governor rope caused by grease, and the adhesion of foreign matters, and to suppress the contraction of a rope diameter of the governor rope for a long period of time.SOLUTION: A governor rope 1 used in a governor mechanism of an elevator is constituted by intertwining eight pieces of strands 22 to a periphery of a solid core material 21 which is formed by extrusion-molding high-density polyethylene. Each strand 22 is constituted by intertwining first, second and third element wires 24, 25 and 26, and the element wires 24, 25 and 26 have galvanized layers on their surfaces. Since the governor rope 1 is used in a hoistway without grease, contamination caused by the grease and the lowering of friction resistance do not occur. By combining the rope and the plated layers, the abrupt wear of the core material 21 caused by the intrusion of particles of rust generated at the element wires 24, 25 and 26 into an interface with the synthetic resin-made core material 21 is suppressed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】油脂によるガバナロープの汚損や異物の付着を回避するとともに、ガバナロープのロープ径の減少を長期に亘って抑制する。【解決手段】エレベータのガバナ機構に用いられるガバナロープ1は、高密度ポリエチレンを押出成形した中実の心材21の周囲に、8本のストランド22を撚り合わせて構成される。各ストランド22は、第1,第2,第3の素線24,25,26を撚り合わせて構成されており、各素線24,25,26は、表面に亜鉛メッキ層を具備している。このガバナロープ1は、昇降路内で無油脂で使用されるので、油脂による汚損や摩擦抵抗の低下がない。メッキ層と組み合わせたことで、素線24,25,26で生じた錆の粒子が合成樹脂製心材21との界面に侵入することによる心材21の急激な摩耗が抑制される。【選択図】図3
