PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular shock absorbing device configured to protrude a collision load receiving member in a direction of a collision by inflating an inflation body just before the collision, which can remove deformations of members constituting the inflation body when volumes change to suppress cracks of the inflation body caused by volume change, by inserting a sliding body into a container to form the inflation body.SOLUTION: An inflation body 11 comprises: a container-shape receiving cup 11a, fixed to a bumper reinforcement 1, which has an opening directed toward a front member 2; and a container-shape sliding cup 11b, fixed to the front member 2L through a container 14, which has an opening in a direction in which the opening opposes to the opening of the receiving cup 11a. The sliding cup 11b is inserted into the receiving cup 11a so as to form one space 11c, and by changing amounts of the insertion, volumes of the space 11c is changed.     【課題】衝突直前に膨張体を膨張させて衝突荷重受部材を衝突方向へ突出させる車両用衝撃吸収装置において、容器内に摺動体を挿入して膨張体を形成することにより、容積変化時の膨張体構成部材の変形をなくし、容積変化に伴う膨張体のひび割れを抑制する。【解決手段】膨張体11は、バンパリインフォースメント1に固定され、フロントメンバ2Lに向けた開口を有する容器状の受容カップ11aと、容器14を介してフロントメンバ2Lに固定され、受容カップ11aの開口に対向する方向の開口を有する容器状の摺動カップ11bとを備える。受容カップ11a内に摺動カップ11bが挿入されて一つの空間11cを形成し、その挿入量の変化により空間11cの容積が変化される。摺動カップ11b内にはインフレータ12が配置されている。【選択図】図3
