PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect disconnection of a flasher valve without needing much time and many manhours.SOLUTION: A direction indicating device 2 flashes a flasher valve 3 by controlling a drive unit 4 through a control unit 10. A monitor voltage Vref obtained by converting a monitor current output from the drive unit 4 when a driving current of a specification value is supplied to the flasher valve 3 into a voltage by a conversion circuit 7 is set as a voltage reference value Vk, a reference value of the reduction amount of the monitor voltage when one of the flasher valves 3 is disconnected is calculated as a fluctuation amount reference value ΔVk, and these values are stored in a storage unit 14. Both reference values are read from the storage unit 14 during the operation of the direction indicating device 2, and when the result of a difference amount between the voltage reference value Vk and the current value Vr of the monitor voltage larger than the fluctuation amount reference value ΔVk is obtained five times, a warning device 6 is operated understanding that a state is a disconnected state. Thus, there is no need to calculate a voltage reference value and a fluctuation amount reference value for each detection process, and nor many manhours are necessary.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】フラッシャバルブの断線を時間と工数を要しないで検出可能とする。【解決手段】方向指示装置2は制御部10が駆動部4を制御してフラッシャバルブ3を点滅させる。フラッシャバルブ3に仕様値の駆動電流を流したときの駆動部4が出力するモニタ電流を変換回路7で電圧変換したモニタ電圧Vrefを電圧基準値Vkとし、フラッシャバルブ3のいずれかが断線した場合のモニタ電圧の低下量の基準値を変動量基準値ΔVkとして算出して、これらを記憶部14に格納しておく。方向指示装置2の作動中に両基準値を記憶部14から読み出して、電圧基準値Vkとモニタ電圧の現在値Vrとの差分量が変動量基準値ΔVkより大きい結果が5回に達したとき、断線状態にあるとして警報器6を作動させる。検出処理の度ごとに電圧基準値と変動量基準値を求める必要がなく、工数も要しない。【選択図】図1
