PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charge state estimation device which can detect a release voltage of a battery even if a vehicle is not in a stopped state, and can calculate an SOC from the release voltage.SOLUTION: A vehicle 1 using an engine 2 and a motor 3 as drive sources comprises: a battery 5 for supplying power to the motor 3; a throttle opening sensor 23 for detecting a throttle opening of the engine 2; an engine rotation number sensor 24 for detecting an engine rotation number being an engine rotation number of the engine 2; and an ECU 6 which limits the power of the motor 3 when it is determined that the efficiency of the engine 2 is favorable during the traveling of the vehicle 1, detects a release voltage of the battery 5, and calculates an SOC from the release voltage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
