PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller of a rotary electric machine capable of increasing substantial output of the rotary electric machine while preventing the capability of each section of the device from being overly increased.SOLUTION: A controller is applied to a system (100) including a rotary electric machine (12), a battery (10) connected with the rotary electric machine via wiring (16), and upper limit value setting units (43, 46, 60) for setting an output upper limit value, an upper limit of an output command of the rotary electric machine, and controls the rotary electric machine. The controller includes: temperature acquisition units (26u, 26v, 26w, 27u, 27v, 27w, 43, 46, 51-53, 54) for acquiring temperature of at least two of the rotary electric machine, the battery and the wiring; allowable value calculation units (43, 46) for calculating an output allowable value, an upper limit to allow the output command of the rotary electric machine for each of the objects to acquire temperature on the basis of the temperature acquired by the temperature acquisition units; and transmission units (43, 46) for transmitting the output allowable value for each object calculated by the allowable value calculation units to the upper limit value setting units.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
