PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a worm reducer that inhibits wear of a worm wheel when a tooth is formed from a high-elastic rate material, to contribute to noise suppression.SOLUTION: The worm reducer 15 includes a worm 20 and the worm wheel 30 engaging with the worm 20. The worm wheel 30 has a tooth 31 with an elastic modulus of 6,000 Pa or more. A difference obtained when a pressure angle θ2 of the worm wheel 30 on a pitch circle PC2 is subtracted from a pressure angle θ1 of the worm 20 on a pitch circle PC1 is set to a range of 0.5° to 1°.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
