PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make some defaults due to realizing a high brake force hardly generated while activating some advantages of a disc brake.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a fixing structure 400 for use in fixing a caliper for a disc brake to a bicycle acting as a vehicle comprising a bolt 38 acting as a fastening member including a shaft part 382; an adapter 36 acting as a base part provided with an open hole 366H that is an insertion hole into which a shaft part 382 is inserted that is present between the caliper and a pedestal 34 acting as a fitted part of a vehicle side to which the caliper is fixed, and an O-ring 42 acting as a spacer made of elastic material that is present between an inner peripheral surface HS of the open hole 366H and the shaft part 382. The adapter 36 and the pedestal 34 are fastened by the bolt 38 and a nut 40 in such a way that a distance D between the inner peripheral surface HS of the open hole 366H and the shaft part 382 can be varied in response to an elastic deformation of the O-ring 42.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
