PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an escalator control system that can stop an ascent escalator moderately even when a power failure occurs.SOLUTION: Even when three-phase power supply 101 fails to supply power, an escalator control system controls power from a descent smoothing capacitor 107D to gradually decelerate not only rotation of a descent motor 20D for a descent escalator 10D but also rotation of an ascent motor 20U for an ascent escalator 10U.
