PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve acceleration performance for starting a vehicle when battery temperature is low.SOLUTION: A battery discharge control device 40 includes a degradation index calculation unit 51 for calculating a damage amount D based on a current value Ib of a battery and calculating a deterioration progress index value ΣD by integrating the calculated damage amount D, a first power calculator 52 for calculating first dischargeable power of the battery based on the damage amount D, calculating a second dischargeable power of the battery based on the deterioration progress index value ΣD, and setting smaller one of the first dischargeable power and the second dischargeable power as normal dischargeable power, a second power calculator 53 for calculating starting dischargeable power smaller than the second dischargeable power based on the deterioration progress index value ΣD when the temperature of the battery is not more than a predetermined temperature, and a maximum dischargeable power setting unit 54 for setting the starting dischargeable power to maximum dischargeable power of the battery when the starting dischargeable power exceeds the normal dischargeable power.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
