PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for controlling a vehicle travelling motor that can change over to a plugging mode from a regenerative braking mode for a travelling motor without a rotation sensor.SOLUTION: A controller 37 is configured to be capable of changing over to the plugging mode from the regenerative braking mode. The controller 37 changes over to the plugging mode from the regenerative braking mode operated until then when an absolute value of an amount of variation in a current flowing an armature 32 that is detected by a current sensor 34 in the regenerative braking mode is equal to or lower than a threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
