PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle occupant detection device capable of detecting the number and locations of occupants inside a vehicle cabin as well as biological information of a driver using one transceiver.SOLUTION: A vehicle cabin 12 is provided with just one radar unit 18. The radar unit 18 is disposed such that the radar unit is closest to a driver's seat S1 among seats S1-S5 in the vehicle cabin 12 and that a distance therefrom to each seat S1-S5 is different from distances to other seats.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
