PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the transmission delay of a brake force caused by variation in a plurality of brake members without slide.SOLUTION: A negative type electromagnetic brake device comprises: a brake shoe 8 disposed on a braked body so as to freely move back and forth; a movable element 5 movably disposed to be connected to the brake shoe; a stationary part 3 storing an electromagnetic coil 1 therein; and a plurality of brake members 2 installed in the stationary part for granting a restitutive force to the movable element. Elastic bodies 9Af and 9Bf are attached to two or more first concave portions formed on a first opposing surface of the stationary part with the movable element, and two or more second concave portions formed on a second opposing surface of the stationary part with the movable element, respectively; and with each elastic body, the projection amount from the edge face of the first concave portion or the second concave portion is set to be equal to or less than the movement displacement of the movable element.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
