PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cause a curved surface part of a tooth surface of a worm wheel to be increased while being formed in a shape corresponding to a tooth of a worm shaft.SOLUTION: A process of manufacture of a worm wheel 10 comprises a step for forming a cavity 31 defined by a first die 43 and a second die 53 by combining the first dies 43 for molding a first tooth surface 13 of wheel teeth 12 pushed by a shaft tooth 22 when a worm shaft 20 is rotated in a direction D1 with the second dies 53 for forming a second tooth surface 14 of wheel teeth 12 pushed by a shaft tooth 22 when the worm shaft 20 is rotated in a direction D2; a step for pouring molten resin into the cavity 31 to form the wheel teeth 12; and a step for separating the first dies 43 and the second dies 53 from each other in a direction that they are tilted in respect to a tooth trace T of wheel teeth 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6

    【課題】ウォームホイールの歯面の曲面部をウォームシャフトの歯に対応した形状で形成しつつ大きくすることを目的とする。【解決手段】ウォームホイール10の製造方法は、D1方向へのウォームシャフト20の回転時にシャフト歯22によって押されるホイール歯12の第1歯面13を成形する第1型43と、D2方向へのウォームシャフト20の回転時にシャフト歯22によって押されるホイール歯12の第2歯面14を成形する第2型53と、を組み合わせて、第1型43と第2型53とによって画定されるキャビティ31を形成する工程と、キャビティ31に溶融樹脂を注入し、ホイール歯12を成形する工程と、第1型43及び第2型53を、ホイール歯12の歯筋Tに対して傾斜する方向に互いに引き離す工程と、を備える。【選択図】図6
