PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid vehicle and control method therefor, which enable a regenerative power generation amount to increase in comparison with conventional technique when the vehicle is in deceleration.SOLUTION: In a case where a measurement value A of an acceleration sensor 60 is less than a pre-set threshold T when a motor-generator 21 charges a high-voltage battery 24 by regenerative power generation when an HEV is decelerated, a control apparatus 70 down-shifts a transmission 30 in an increment of one stage, whereas, in a case where the measurement value A is equal to or higher than the threshold T, down-shifts the transmission in an increment of every other stage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】従来よりも減速時における回生発電量を増加させることができるハイブリッド車両及びその制御方法を提供する。【解決手段】制御装置70は、HEVの減速時にモータージェネレーター21による回生発電で高電圧バッテリー24を充電しているときに、加速度センサ60の測定値Aが予め設定されたしきい値T未満である場合は、トランスミッション30でのシフトダウンをギヤ1段ずつで行う一方で、測定値Aがしきい値T以上である場合は、シフトダウンを少なくともギヤ1段飛ばしで行う。【選択図】図1
