PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique that can set a proper retrieval cost even when a predefined detour area and a detour area set by a user co-exist.SOLUTION: A route retrieval system comprises: an area acquisition unit that acquires information indicative of a predefined detour recommendation area and a detour desired area set by a user; a cost setting unit that sets a mutually different retrieval cost with respect to a road element within the detour recommendation area and the road element within the detour desired area; and a retrieval unit that retrieves a travelling schedule route so that a total sum of the retrieval cost of the road element constituting the travelling schedule route becomes small. The cost setting unit is configured to set the retrieval cost larger than the retrieval cost to be set when the road element is within the detour recommendation area and out of the detour desired area with respect to the road element within the detour recommendation area and within the detour desired area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
