PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a response of acceleration of a gaseous fuel engine 10 from being slow when output of the engine 10 is increased by injection of gaseous fuel by use of a port injection valve 17 and a direct injection valve 18 in combination with a throttle valve 16 fully open during acceleration of the engine 10 at predetermined acceleration or larger in intermediate and high-output operation.SOLUTION: When an engine 10 in intermediate and high-output operation is accelerated rapidly at predetermined acceleration or higher, rapid acceleration control is executed such that a combustion air/fuel ration in a combustion chamber is gradually increased from an air/fuel ratio which is larger than a stoichiometric air/fuel ratio and smaller than a predetermined lean air/fuel ratio toward the predetermined lean air/fuel ratio while an EGR device 94 makes an EGR gas reflow to a suction passage 14 with a throttle valve 16 fully open, and output of the engine 10 is simultaneously increased by injection of gaseous fuel by use of a port injection valve 17 and a direct injection valve 18 in combination.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】中高出力運転時に気体燃料エンジン10を所定加速度以上で加速させるに際して、スロットル弁16の全開状態で、ポート噴射弁17及び直噴噴射弁18の併用による気体燃料の噴射によってエンジン10の出力を上昇させる場合に、エンジン10の加速の応答性が鈍くなるのを抑制する。【解決手段】中高出力運転時にエンジン10を上記所定加速度以上の急加速で加速させる際には、スロットル弁16の全開状態で、EGR装置94により吸気通路14にEGRガスを還流しつつ、燃焼室内の燃焼空燃比を、ストイキ空燃比よりも大きくかつ所定のリーン空燃比よりも小さい空燃比から該所定のリーン空燃比に向けて徐々に大きくしながら、ポート噴射弁17及び直噴噴射弁18の併用による気体燃料の噴射によって、エンジン10の出力を上昇させる急加速制御を実行する。【選択図】図2
