PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine which enables grounding of a wire harness and achieves reduction of costs and weight.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine includes: a cylinder block 10 formed by a metal; a PCV case 20 formed by a resin and attached to the cylinder block; and a metal member 40 which is disposed between the cylinder block and the PCV case and electrically connected with the cylinder block. The metal member has a protruding part 42 which protrudes from a space between the cylinder block and the PCV case so as to move away from the cylinder block and is exposed from the PCV case. The protruding part is electrically connected with a wire harness 60.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
