PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake device that can strike a balance between securing of pressure resistance of a seal member and improvement of sealing property, and to provide a plunger pump and a method for manufacturing a plunger pump.SOLUTION: The plunger pump P includes: a metal piston 23 having an annular projection 45 projecting in an x-axis forward direction relative to a predetermined axially orthogonal surface 44; and a seal member 35 abutting on the resin annular projection 45 and having a lower hardness than that of the piston 23.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
