PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly perform deceleration control of a vehicle.SOLUTION: Operation assisting devices (10, 20, 30, 40), include first control means (230) which, based on a specified reference speed or a vehicular gap from a preceding vehicle (600), generates a first acceleration request for accelerating a vehicle (500) or a first deceleration request for decelerating it, second control means which, based on a lap rate (R) relative to an obstacle (700) present in front of the vehicle, generates second deceleration request for decelerating the vehicle, and arbitration means (260, 450) which, in a case where both a first deceleration control corresponding to the first deceleration request and a second deceleration control corresponding to the second deceleration request are performed, compare requested deceleration degrees of the first deceleration request and the second deceleration request with each other, to selectively output a deceleration request whose requested deceleration degree is larger.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
