PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device with rotary electrical machinery which can reliably starts up at a cold time in such a manner that an internal combustion and the rotary electrical machinery are connected without use of a V belt and a pulley.SOLUTION: A power transmission device 5, which is located on a power transmission path from an output shaft 3 of an internal combustion engine 2 of a vehicle 1 to a speed change gear 4, comprises rotary electrical machinery 11 having: a rotator 7 which is connected to a synchronous rotary member 6 which is rotated synchronously with the output shaft 3 of the internal combustion engine 2, and has a rotary shaft 8 which is relevant to a central axis of the output shaft 3 of the internal combustion engine 2; and a stator 10 which is fixed to a stationery member 9 on a non-rotary side, and faces the rotator 7 with a first clearance 12 between itself and the rotator 7.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
