PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head lamp device which can displace an irradiation range, which is irradiated with scanning light by use of an optical deflector, in a horizontal axis H direction without hindrance.SOLUTION: An optical deflector 15b comprises a mirror part 32 which is reciprocatingly rotated around first and second rotation axes at first and second frequencies. The first frequency is a natural oscillation frequency of the mirror part 32, and the second frequency is lower than the first frequency. Directions of the first and second rotation axes are so set that a scanning direction of reflectance in association with reciprocating rotation of the mirror part 32 around the first and second rotation axes become a direction of a vertical axis V and a direction of a horizontal axis H respectively. A control part 57 controls reciprocating rotation of the mirror part 32 around the second rotation axis on the basis of a drive voltage in which an off-set voltage is overlapped on a basic driving voltage of an increasing/decreasing waveform.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
