PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an advanced tire monitoring system.SOLUTION: A tire pressure monitoring system comprises a tire pressure monitoring device mounted on an inner surface of a tire and including a pressure sensor for monitoring fluid pressure in the tire. The system has an RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) tag located on the tire separately from the tire pressure monitoring device. In response to detection of a tire pressure event from monitoring the fluid pressure, the tire pressure monitoring device causes the RFID to transmit data, which is received by the tire pressure monitoring device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
