PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simulation method of a pneumatic tire, which can accurately simulate rib tear.SOLUTION: The simulation method of a pneumatic tire includes: a step for performing element division of a pneumatic tire having a shoulder land part, and creating a finite element model of a pneumatic tire which can be analyzed by a computer; a step for determining a protrusion provided on a road surface to have an edge extending in a prescribed direction; a step for designating an incident angle α of the pneumatic tire with respect to the edge when the pneumatic tire advances to the protrusion at an angle smaller than 90(°); a step for causing the finite element model to advance toward the protrusion at the incident angle α; and a step for calculating a state of the shoulder land part when the finite element model comes into contact with the protrusion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
