PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remaining fuel gas calculation device which is mounted on a vehicle to be driven by a fuel gas such as hydrogen, and capable of reducing a load for calculating a remaining fuel gas while suppressing occurrence of trouble such as overcharge of the fuel gas.SOLUTION: An ROM 22 of a control part 14 as a remaining fuel gas calculation device stores a first calculation model for calculating remaining hydrogen (fuel gas) within a hydrogen tank 3 and a second calculation model which is rougher than the first calculation model but reduces computational complexity. The control part 14 determines whether a present scene is a scene that a hydrogen filling rate becomes almost filling-up during hydrogen charge at a hydrogen station 30, for example, as a scene in which high-accuracy calculation of remaining hydrogen is required, a scene of high load travel or a scene of travel with the hydrogen filling rate becomes almost exhaustion. If the present scene is a scene that high accuracy calculation is required, remaining hydrogen is calculated using the first calculation model. If the present scene is a scene that high accuracy calculation is not required, remaining hydrogen is calculated using the second calculation model.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】水素等の燃料ガスにより駆動する車両に搭載され、燃料ガスの過充填等の不具合の発生を抑制しつつ、燃料ガスの残量計算の負荷を低減できる燃料ガス残量計算装置を提供する。【解決手段】燃料ガス残量計算装置としての制御部14のROM22には、水素タンク3内の水素(燃料ガス)の残量を計算する第1計算モデルと、その第1計算モデルよりも精度は粗いが計算量が少ない第2計算モデルとが記憶される。制御部14は、現在の場面が、高精度の水素残量の計算が必要な場面として、例えば水素ステーション30において水素充填中に水素充填率が満タン付近になった場面か、高負荷走行の場面か、水素充填率が空欠付近で走行する場面かを判断する。現在の場面が高精度必要場面の場合には、第1計算モデルを用いて水素残量を計算する。現在の場面が高精度必要場面ではない場合には、第2計算モデルを用いて水素残量を計算する。【選択図】図1
