PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a steel cord for tire reinforcement.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing a steel cord for tire reinforcement that comprises a secondary twist 200 formed by twisting a plurality of strands 210 and a primary twist 100 formed by twisting a plurality of core wires 110, in which the secondary twist 200 is twisted around the primary twist 100. The method for producing a steel cord for tire reinforcement 1 comprises: a step in which a rotary wheel of a secondary twist 200 supply base rotates and imparts a twist to the strands 210 that form the secondary twist 200; a step of un-twisting the strands 210 by an un-twisting device; a step of supplying the primary twist 100 from a multiple-twisting supply base; a step in which the rotary wheel rotates and twists the secondary twist 200 on the primary twist 100. The step of supplying the primary twist 100 comprises: a step of twisting the plurality of core wires 110 to form the primary twist 100; and a step of applying pressure on the primary twist 100 to form a flat face 112 between core wires.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2B
