PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery type forklift in which a cargo-handling speed can be finely controlled by only operation of an inching pedal and an accelerator pedal.SOLUTION: A battery type forklift comprises: a hydraulic cylinder 13a for cargo handling which is driven by a discharge oil from a hydraulic pump 34; an electric motor 31 for travelling which is driven by reception of power supply from a battery 16; an electric motor 32 for cargo handling which is driven by reception of electric power from the battery 16 and drives the hydraulic pump 34; a control valve 35 which controls flow of the discharge oil from the hydraulic pump 34 according to operation of an operation member 39 for cargo handling; an inching pedal 37 which outputs an inching operation amount; an accelerator pedal 36 which outputs an accelerator operation amount; and a control part 51 which controls rotational characteristic of the electric motor 31 for travelling and rotational characteristic of the electric motor 32 for cargo handling according to the inching operation amount, and further, controls a revolution speed of the electric motor 31 for travelling and a revolution speed of the electric motor 32 for cargo handling according to the accelerator operation amount.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
