PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a rolling bearing unit for supporting a wheel, capable of securing electric power necessary for operating a sensor, reducing costs of a device as a whole, and reducing a throw-away part in changing a tire.SOLUTION: A connector 24 to be connected with a non-contact power supply coil and a sensor disposed on the outside of the rolling bearing unit 1 for supporting a wheel, a power controller 25 performing stabilization processing of the power, and a wireless communication unit 26 for wirelessly communicating with a computing unit at a vehicle body side, are arranged in the inside of a rolling bearing unit 1 for supporting the wheel. Thus the power is taken in from the non-contact power supply coil through a power input terminal 39 of the connector 24, is subjected to stabilization processing by the power controller 25, and then supplied to the sensor through a power output terminal 41. An output signal of the sensor is taken in through a signal input terminal 40, and is transmitted to the computing unit at the vehicle body side by the wireless communication unit 26.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】センサを動作させるのに必要な電力を確保できると共に、装置全体としての低コスト化を図れ、かつ、タイヤ交換時においても使い捨てとなる部分を減らす事ができる、車輪支持用転がり軸受ユニットの構造を実現する。【解決手段】車輪支持用転がり軸受ユニット1の外部に配置された非接触給電コイル及びセンサと接続する為のコネクタ24、電力の安定化処理を行う為の電力制御器25、及び、車体側の演算器と無線通信する為の無線通信器26を、車輪支持用転がり軸受ユニット1の内部に配置する。これにより、コネクタ24の電力入力端子39を通じて、非接触給電コイルから電力を取り込み、電力制御器25にて安定化処理を施した後、電力出力端子41を通じてセンサに電力を供給する。又、センサの出力信号を信号入力端子40を通じて取り込み、無線通信器26により車体側の演算器に送る。【選択図】図2
