PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand rail drive sprocket for a passenger conveyor that can vary the diameter of the hand rail drive sprocket to adjust a running velocity of a hand rail belt.SOLUTION: A hand rail drive sprocket includes: a disk-type sprocket body 102 and a rotation shaft 104; a stationary inclined face 110 provided along the outer periphery of a sprocket body 100; an annular adjustment member 112 disposed so as to face the stationary inclined face 110; a movable inclined face 114 provided on the adjustment member 112 so as to face the stationary inclined face 110; and an annular member 106 disposed between the stationary inclined face 110 and the movable inclined face 114 and having a V-shaped cross-sectional shape.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
