PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock absorbing structure for a vehicle that can sequentially progress destruction from tip end parts to base end side parts of a pair of left and right side wall parts at a collision of the vehicle and thereby securing stable EA performance.SOLUTION: A shock absorbing structure for a vehicle V has a shock absorbing member 2 made of fiber-reinforced resin comprising: a pair of left and right side wall parts 21 containing a plurality of first carbon fibers C1 arrayed at a tip end-side part in a vehicle body longitudinal direction so as to extend continuously in the vehicle body longitudinal direction; an upper connection wall part 22 connecting upper end parts of the pair of side wall parts 21 to each other; and a lower connection wall part 23 connecting lower end parts of the pair of side wall parts 21 to each other. The structure further has: a pair of left and right vertical tip end wall parts 24 folded back inward in a vehicle width direction through a first corner part E1 from front end-side part of the pair of side wall parts 21 and extending vertically; and a lateral tip end wall part 25 folded back through a second corner part E2 from a front end-side part of the upper connection wall part 22 and extending in a vehicle width direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
