PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure traffic flow data at an intersection used for determination of a traffic situation at the intersection, on the basis of a detection result of a vehicle in the intersection.SOLUTION: A vehicle detector 1 detects the presence/absence of a vehicle located in detection regions 101-108 set in an intersection in association with inflow passages 111-118 of the intersection in which a signal lamp is installed, and, on the basis of the detection result, generates a vehicle detection signal indicating whether a vehicle located in the detection regions has been detected. A signal controller 2 processes the generated vehicle detection signal, and performs the measurement related to the occupancy of the detection regions and the measurement related to the traffic flow rate in the detection regions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】交差点の交通状況の判定に用いる交差点の交通流データを、交差点内における車両の検知結果に基づいて計測する。【解決手段】車両検知装置1は、信号灯器が設置された交差点の流入路111〜118に対応付けて交差点内に設定した検知領域101〜108内に位置する車両の有無を検知するとともに、この検知結果に基づき、検知領域内に位置する車両が検知されているかどうかを示す車両検知信号を形成する。信号制御装置2は、形成された車両検知信号を処理し、検知領域の占有率にかかる計測、および前記検知領域の交通流率にかかる計測を行う。【選択図】図1
