PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a travel route provision method with which it is possible to suppress the possibility of a route far apart from a user's scheduled travel angle being applied to a search route.SOLUTION: A travel link sequence is created in mesh units on the basis of probe information received from a vehicle 10, a first angle formed by a line linking the entry and exit points of a mesh and a reference line is found for the travel link sequence, and the travel link sequence is stored in a database 22 in association with a user, mesh, and first angle. When a route search request is received from the vehicle, a second angle formed by a line linking the entry and exit points of a mesh and a reference line is found for each mesh that a scheduled travel route set to the requesting vehicle passes through, and a travel link sequence with which is associated the first angle whose difference from the second angle is within a prescribed range is selected, for each mesh that the scheduled travel route passes through, from a travel link sequence stored in the database, present in the same mesh, and pertaining to a requesting user.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】ユーザの走行予定方角と懸け離れたルートが探索ルートに適用されるおそれを抑制できる走行ルート提供方法を提供する。【解決手段】車両10から受信したプローブ情報に基づいてメッシュ単位の走行リンク列を作成し、走行リンク列についてメッシュの進入点と退出点を結ぶ直線が基準線となす第1の角度を求め、走行リンク列を、ユーザ、メッシュ、第1の角度と紐付けしてデータベース22に格納する。車両からルート探索要求を受信した場合、要求車両に設定された走行予定ルートが通過するメッシュごとに、メッシュの進入点と退出点を結ぶ直線が基準線となす第2の角度を求め、走行予定ルートが通過するメッシュごとに、データベースに格納された要求ユーザに関する同じメッシュにある走行リンク列から、第2の角度との角度差が所定範囲内である第1の角度が紐付けられた走行リンク列を選択する。【選択図】図1
