PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traffic light control device that enables a display state of a signal display section to be appropriately switched even when a control signal for switching the display state of the signal display section cannot be received.SOLUTION: A traffic light control device 100 comprises: a power source section 41; a power storage section 42; a power source switching section 43 that selects a power source from the power source section and power storage section to thereby switch the power source; a detection section 21 that detects an amount of traffic on the basis of an image taken by an imaging section 10; and a traffic signal display control section 22 that, when the power source switching section selects the power source section, switches a display state of a traffic signal display section 30 attached to a traffic light having the device in accordance with a switching signal from the outside of the device or a ratio or difference between a first amount of traffic detected by the detection section and a second amount of traffic detected by the detection section, and when the power source switching section selects the power storage section, switches the display state thereof in accordance with the ratio or difference.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】信号表示部の表示状態を切り替えるための制御信号を受信できない場合であっても、信号表示部の表示状態を適切に切り替えることができる信号機制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】信号機制御装置100は、電源部41と、蓄電部42と、電源を電源部と蓄電部とから選択することにより切り替える電源切り替え部43と、撮像部10により撮像された画像に基づいて、交通量を検出する検出部21と、電源切り替え部が電源部を選択している場合には、自装置を備えた信号機に取り付けられている信号表示部30の表示状態を、自装置の外部からの切替信号又は検出部が検出した第1交通量と、検出部が検出した第2交通量との比又は差に応じて切り替え、電源切り替え部が蓄電部を選択している場合には、表示状態を、比又は差に応じて切り替える表示制御部22と、を備える。【選択図】図1
