PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tyre reliability testing method by which the durability of beads can be assessed accurately in a short period of time.SOLUTION: A bead durability assessing method for a tyre 4 comprises a heating step of heating with dry heat a tyre assembly, in which the tyre 4 is fitted to a rim; a rim removing and fitting step of removing the tyre 4 from the rim after the heating step and fitting it to the rim again; and a running step of causing the tyre assembly after the rim removing and fitting step to run. Preferably at the heating step, the heating temperature Th of the tyre assembly should be set to the highest applicable temperature for beads of tyres available in the market. Also preferably at the heating step, the heating temperature Th for the tyre assembly and the heating period Ph for the tyre assembly should be so set that the inner diameter variation quantity Dc of the bead toe is kept within a prescribed numerical range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
