PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver capable of improving reception quality by reducing a frequency of suspension of service being received, the suspension being caused by interruption by road traffic information.SOLUTION: A digital broadcast receiver comprises: a reception service setting unit 32 that, according to a user's operation, sets a service to be received; a service reception processing unit 34, RF unit 12, decoder 16, etc. that receive the service and output a content of the service; a monitoring target service determination unit 36 that, depending on a reception history of the service to be received, determines a specific service to be monitored, the specific service being part of a plurality of services; a traffic information reception determination unit 38 that, during reception of the service to be received, determines the presence/absence of reception of road traffic information included in the specific service to be monitored; and a traffic information output processing unit 40 that, when it is determined by the traffic information reception determination unit 38 that road traffic information has been received, inserts the road traffic information into the service being received before outputting the service.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
