PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension coil spring in which a reaction force line position (a load axis) in respect to a coil center axis can be inclined to a desired direction and its light-weight formation can be attained.SOLUTION: A coil spring 12 has an element wire 30 made of spring steel formed into a helical shape and is compressed between an upper spring seat 13 and a lower spring seat 14. The coil spring 12 includes an upper end portion 12a and a lower end portion 12b. The upper end portion 12a is formed with a winding end part 31 of a positive pitch. The extremity end of this winding end part 31 is formed with a terminal one-point hard abutment part 35. The terminal one-point hard abutment part 35 is contacted with the upper spring seat 13 at one location of a position displaced to a vehicle inner side Vin respect to a coil center axis X1. The lower end side portion 12b of the coil spring 12 is formed with a seat winding part 40 contacting with the lower spring seat 14 at a position displaced to a vehicle outer side V.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】コイル中心軸に対して反力線位置(荷重軸)を所望の方向に傾けることができ、かつ、軽量化が可能な懸架用コイルばねを提供する。【解決手段】コイルばね12は螺旋形に成形されたばね鋼からなる素線30を有し、上側のばね座13と下側のばね座14との間で圧縮される。コイルばね12は、上端側の部分12aと、下端側の部分12bとを含んでいる。上端側の部分12aにポジティブピッチの巻端部31が形成されている。この巻端部31の先端に端末一点強当り部35が形成されている。端末一点強当り部35は、コイル中心軸X1に対し車両内側Vinに片寄った位置の1箇所で上側のばね座13に接している。コイルばね12の下端側の部分12bには、車両外側Voutに寄った位置において下側のばね座14に接する座巻部40が形成されている。【選択図】図2
