PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material selection method of a clutch damping material capable of making loss factor and compressive strength compatible, in a case of selecting material of a clutch damping material.SOLUTION: A clutch damping material 101 is included in a piston retainer 88 interposed between a piston arm 83 and a multi-plate dry type clutch 7. A material selection method of a clutch damping material includes a loss factor selection process of selecting, from among material candidates of the clutch damping material 101, a clutch initial warming-up period from use start of the multi-plate dry type clutch 7 until surface pressure distribution is equalized, and a material satisfying a loss factor requirement value α as an attenuation characteristic.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12

    【課題】クラッチ減衰材の材料を選定する際、ロスファクタと圧縮強さの相反する特性の両方を成立させるクラッチ減衰材の材料選定方法を提供すること。【解決手段】ピストンアーム83と多板乾式クラッチ7の間に介装されるピストンリテーナ88にクラッチ減衰材101を有する。クラッチ減衰材101の材料候補の中から、多板乾式クラッチ7使用開始から面圧分布が均等化するまでのクラッチ初期馴染み期間、減衰特性としてのロスファクタ要求値αを満たす材料を選定するロスファクタ選定手順を有している。【選択図】図12
