PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inflator which achieves improvement of productivity and reduction of manufacturing costs while improving the combustion gas discharge capacity.SOLUTION: An inflator of an air bag device includes: an inner cylindrical member 104 provided in a cylindrical housing; a granular gas generating agent filling the inner cylindrical member 104; and a coil spring 121 having an outer periphery along an inner peripheral surface of the inner cylindrical member 104. A gas circulation hole 104d for discharging a generated gas is formed on a cylindrical wall of the inner cylindrical member 104. A pitch of the coil spring 121 is set so as to be smaller than a diameter of the gas circulation hole 104d.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
